eBooks: eBook Access Limits

A guide to using the library's eBook collections.

eBook Access Limits

Ebook Access Limits

While many ebooks allow unlimited access, some ebooks on ProQuest Ebook Central, VLeBooks and EBSCO restrict the number of users that may access an ebook at one time.

If the maximum number of simultaneous users has been reached, you will see a message which will either ask you to check back later or prompt you to reserve the ebook. If you reserve the ebook, you will receive an email when a copy of the ebook is available for you to access.

VLeBooks

VLeBooks will display the number of users that are in the queue and prompt you to leave your email address so you will be notified when a copy of the ebook is available for you to read.

ProQuest Ebook Central

Ebook Central will notify you when an ebook is in use and ask you to check back later.
