eBooks: Introduction

A guide to using the library's eBook collections.

Introduction to eBooks

The library provides access to over 40,000 eBooks. The library’s eBooks are hosted on 3 main websites called Dawsonera, VLeBooks and MyiLibrary. You can find out more information about using each of these platforms on the following tabs. To begin with, let’s start with some basic information about how to find eBooks.

eBooks which the library has purchased are listed on Library Search. You can find them by filtering your search to Electronic Books using the drop-down menu.

Click on the green "Online Access" link.

Click the link that says "Available online via..."

You will be directed to a Shibboleth login screen. Log in using your campus username and password (i.e. the password you use for email and the VLE).

Please note: eBooks cannot be accessed on the dedicated catalogue terminal computers in the library.
