It contains current and historic legislation and case law and has a very searchable journals index with many key titles in full text. - HeinOnline This link opens in a new windowHeinOnline is a substantial collection of legal research materials, primarily US-focused, but also encompassing international law and other jurisdictions, including the UK. It contains a Law Journal Library covering more than 2,500 journals. It also contains the English Reports and over 1,400 treatises on law and politics, dating from the seventeenth to the twentieth centuries. A video guide to searching the resource can be found here.

It provides peer reviewed resources, such as practice notes, current awareness and standard documents. It is split into different practice areas, eg Family Law, Environment Law, Competition Law and is a great place to find key materials and guidance for different legal topics. It includes a large amount of primary materials for the UK and Ireland, ie legislation and case law, including many unreported cases and employment tribunal decisions. - EU Legislation – Consolidated Texts This link opens in a new windowThe Consolidated Texts search of EUR-Lex allows you to search for texts of EU legislation incorporating amendments since enactment. They are not considered official consolidations – instead EUR-Lex recommends referring to the texts as published in the Official Journal (which are not consolidated). However, they are as reliable as you can realistically get for consolidations of EU legislation.

Legislation appears here first, when enacted, but the website isn’t updated as regularly as Westlaw or Lexis Library. So for the current (consolidated) text of UK legislation you should use either of those subscription databases.
