These are specialist abstract and index databases for Music which will help you find literature published in the area. They focus on journal articles, conference proceedings and books. - Music Periodicals Database (Formerly: International Index of Music Periodicals) This link opens in a new windowThis database provides indexing and abstracts for several hundred international music periodicals from over 20 countries, plus full text for more than 140 of the indexed journals. The database currently includes over 1.3 million records, the majority from the most recent ten years of publication. Some complete journal runs are included, with indexing back to 1874. Covers the full spectrum of subjects and all aspects of music, including music education, performance, ethnomusicology, musical theatre, theory, popular music forms and composition.

Use the 'Findit@Gold' button to search for any full text articles that may be available from subscriptions held by Goldsmiths or by Senate House Library.

The collections provide access to an archival back run of each journal, often dating back to Vol.1. Current journals are subject to a "moving wall" of access between 2 and 5 years behind the most recently published issue.
