Google Scholar

Google Scholar Search

If you need to do a very broad and inter-disciplinary search Google Scholar (http://scholar.google.co.uk) is a useful tool to know about. It is a specific search engine for academic content on the web. Search results will provide citations or references to both articles and books.

Setting Google Scholar so that it works with Goldsmiths e-resources

Some references may be available to download as PDFs, though you may find that you can't access the full text of many of the articles that you find on Google Scholar.

Did you know:

  • You can set Google Scholar up so that it alerts you if the article is available at Goldsmiths or Senate House Library (the main University of London Library which Goldsmiths staff and students are entitled to join).
  • There is also an advanced search option which allows you to search in more depth and use advanced search techniques.
